Wiluna Mining is a junior gold producer entering a transformational growth and expansion phase.
Operating cashflow places Wiluna Mining in a unique position relative to peers. It enables the Company to fund conversion drilling (resources into mineable reserves to progress the mine plan), fast track studies and fund the capex required for staged expansion.
This is the first time in history that the Northern Goldfields – one of the most prolific gold regions in the world – has been consolidated in a sizeable tenement package under single company ownership.
The Wiluna system has a growing 11Moz endowment. The scale of Wiluna rivals billion dollar orebodies such as Gwalia, Jundee, Fosterville… the latter 2 were both older, depleted mines that were reinvigorated by drilling deeper creating huge value for shareholders. Similarly, Wiluna has significant potential at depth – with recent drilling showing high-grades open in all directions.
Numerous exciting targets and real potential for some large discoveries, for example around Lake Way and Regent area, which could rival the scale of Wiluna. This is a generational asset base whose best years lay ahead.
In addition to significant existing reserves and resources (which already differentiate the company from other gold mining juniors), Wiluna Mining is executing an intelligently staged expansion strategy involving a transition to sulphide processing to create a gold concentrate, will bring production to ~110,000 ounces of gold per annum. Stage 2 of the expansion plan would see production increase to 250,000 ounces of gold per annum and would place Wiluna in the top 15 largest, single location gold producers in Australia, US and Canada.
Wiluna Mining exists to deliver returns to our shareholders, many of whom are high profile, international mining investors; this overarching objective underpins everything we do and every decision we make.
The substantial pre-existing underground development, including hundreds of kilometres and 5 declines into a major orebody, plus existing plant, power stations, tailing dams, camps, air strips etc, has a replacement cost of more than A$300m. Predecessors have spent a considerable amount of money – fortunately Wiluna Mining can benefit from this, and leverage the hard-learned lessons of Wiluna’s past to ensure future success.
